Mariekes yoga journey started after taking a hot yoga class @ Forty Degrees while having an injury due to intensive bootcamp classes. She fell in love with hot yoga and after some years of practice she joint a 200hs Teacher Training in 2013 with yoga champion Master Def Kapil, just to learn more about yoga. Two years later she was teaching yoga at different studio’s in Amsterdam. She joint a Power Yoga Teacher training by Brian Kest in Florida and learned more about meditation through Vipassana course.
After practicing more Pilates, she started teaching classes and learned how Pilates can improve posture and strength of the body. This inspired her to finalize her education through a Teacher Training by Polestar Pilates Educators.
To deepen her mind and body work she became a full certified Mindfulness MBSR Trainer and now helps others to find more balance in life by leading MBSR Mindfulness Trainings online and in live setting.
Marieke is always in search of developing herself en getting inspired by people around her. Trying new styles of classes and activities, working on body and mind, she aims to have a good balance in a healthy lifestyle and leisure; enjoying life at the fullest.
She likes to teach empowering classes, working on the body yet with a controlled mind, aiming people to leave class relax and yet full of new energy.
